Nigerian Statistical Association Competition for Undergraduate Students

INTRODUCTION

Nigerian Statistical Association in collaboration with the National Mathematical Centre is organizing the third Nigerian Statistical Association’s Competition for Undergraduate Students (NSACUS). The main objectives of the competition are to rekindle the dwindling interest of the students in Statistics, build in them the idea of considering statistics as a future career prospect, and improve their communication and knowledge in certain difficult areas of Statistics.

 TARGET PARTICIPANTS

vUniversities

Each participating Tertiary Institution will present two (2) B.sc Statistics final year students each with a minimum CGPA of 3.5. The team will be led by one of their lecturers who will form part of the jurists assessing students’ scripts.

vpolytechnics

Each participating Tertiary Institution will present two (2) HND Statistics final year students each with a minimum CGPA of 3.0. The team will be led by one of their lecturers who will form part of the jurists assessing students’ scripts.
