MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES AND QUALIFICATION OF MEMBERSHIP
 CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP
 The association shall consist of the following categories of membership
  Ordinary
  Fellow
  Life member
  Honorary Fellow
  Corporate Member
  Student Member
ÂQUALIFICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
All categories of membership are open to Nigerians and non-Nigerians.
 The following shall be the qualifications for the various categories of membership.
 ORDINARY MEMBER
  A holder of a University degree in Statistics or its equivalent;
  Diploma/Certificate in Statistics from recognized institutions; or
  One who is, by profession, a Statistician and at least has a University degreeÂ

also, attach NYSC discharge certificate and receipt of payment of the sum of N40,000 only being for new membership

CORPORATE MEMBER
 Any corporate body or institution approved by the Governing Council may be admitted as an associate member. Such an associate member may nominate a representative who, though subject to the Council’s approval, need not be an ordinary member and may attend meetings and conferences of the association. He shall also be entitled to receive the publication of the association, but may not be entitled to vote at any general or other meetings of the association. Click here to proceed with registration.
ÂÂ FELLOW
An ordinary member distinguished for his contributions to the development or application of statistical methods or to the administration of statistical services may be elected a fellow of the association. Such member would have to apply or be nominated by two voting members of the Governing Council on a prescribed form. His nomination or application shall be recommended by the Governing Council with at least a two-thirds majority and ratified by the ordinary majority at a General Meeting. There shall not be more than two fellows appointed in any one year.
 HONORARY FELLOW
A person who has distinguished himself in his own field and has proven interested in statistics may be nominated by the Council and approved by the general meeting. He may attend meetings and conferences of the association but shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the association. There shall be no more than two honorary members elected in any year.
 STUDENT MEMBER
 Any individual undergoing an undergraduate programme in Statistics or its equivalent in a recognized institution leading to one of the qualifications for ordinary membership is entitled to student membership. A student wishing to become a member of the Association should click here to proceed with registration. However, a student member is not entitled to vote or be voted for.
